Humor: My New Diet Plan

How I Spent my Autumn Vacation

Anyone feeling fat? Meeeee toooo. During our anniversary vacation last week, we put on 2000 road miles exploring southern California in a rental car. That’s like driving from Seattle to San Diego and back. Now that we’re empty nesters, we’re in search of the perfect coastal community for working and living.

That’s a lot of sitting! We tried to eat light (and right) by sticking mostly to drive-through chicken Caesar salads, but I’m sure we both gained a few pounds. Here’s the new diet plan we’re trying to implement.

Breakfast

1 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 cup skim milk

Lunch

1 small portion lean, steamed chicken
1 cup spinach
1 cup herbal tea
1 Hershey's kiss

Afternoon Tea

The rest of the Hershey Kisses in the bag
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream with chocolate chips

Dinner

2 loaves garlic bread
1 family size supreme pizza
3 Snickers Bars

Late Night Snack

1 whole Sarah Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)

Remember: Stressed spelled backward is desserts!

Hi :)
My healthy eating plan resembles yours somewhat.
Breakfast - fruit and yoghurt
Brunch - chocolate bar and milk
Lunch - vegetables and choice of meat
Afternoon tea - chocolate bar and milk
Dinner - vegetables and choice of meat followed immediately by chocolate.
I have, though, successfully lost 2kg using this plan, but now I've come to the point where I'm going to have to incorporate exercise.

OH that sign is priceless! No wonder we are all overweight! LOL. Now if it were chocolate by the bagful we'd be somewhere!!
Happy Friday.

I have struggled with my weight all my life! I am using the Weigh Down Diet approach currently, but also really trying to get my body in shape too by running on the treadmill. I LOVED the cartoon! Thank you for the laugh. You might want to check out my last poem....must be the week for the subject of dieting! Thanks again for the post!

What a trip that must have been! I love road trips. When we were in California we put on over 1100 just in central california. We went from LA to the Sierra Nevadas to Yosemite, to the coast and back to LA. Did you find a coastal community to retire to?

lol.....this made me chuckle. LOVE the sign....
I don't have a specific plan and have never struggled with weight altho my husband does. We are more into eating whole foods, lean chicken, fish and LOTS of veggies.....but yes...we sure do eat chocolate too! as you can tell by some of the recipes I post :)

Have a great day......

Being involved with our church youth group makes my healthy eating plan lean in the direction of diet pepsi and doritos.

Since that is mainly on the weekends, I do try to do better during the week!

Rebecca: From your blog posts, I see you've begun to exercise! Good job... :~D

Kim: Chocolate seems to be a popular diet food... LOL!

Tracie: Yours too?

Jamie: I've heard Weigh Down is a good program. God's best to you!

A Stone Gatherer: You put on some miles! No, we did't find THE place yet... BTW, we're not retiring, just hoping to move to sunnier climes. (We're still in our early 50s.) e-Dad says retirement is unbiblical, and he will work as long as he can... :~D

Faith: Interesting... e-Dad struggles more with his weight than I do too. (Neither of us are chocoholics!)

April: Good for you for committing to your church Youth Group. LOL, doritos and diet pepsi... I remember those days...
